About the Department

The Department of Public Health Dentistry leads dental healthcare services by teaching social aspects of dentistry while building professional duty toward the community. As part of its dedication to oral care education, the department organizes free dental screening and treatment camps while leading multiple dental health awareness events for the community. The department embraces long-term prevention of oral diseases and community-wide oral health promotion programs, which address public health challenges. The students learn how to evaluate oral health requirements of the public and educate them on contemporary preventive practices while implementing research-based methods.

The students receive training to conduct surveys, analyze data, and perform oral health assessments, including applying WHO Basic Oral Health Survey techniques for evaluating school children and community dental health.
