The Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics serves to diagnose and treat dental and skeletal malocclusions, craniofacial anomalies, and various other dentofacial deformities.
Undergraduate students are imparted with a strong orthodontic foundation in basic principles. The Postgraduate program imparts an depth knowledge through a sound academic framework and clinical expertise to treat complex orthodontic cases.
The department provides treatment for children with early dental and skeletal problems to enable normal tooth and facial development. Corrective orthodontic treatments are also offered for both children and adults through contemporary dental solutions such as fixed and removable braces and aligners.
The orthodontic management with individuals cleft lip and palate is a flagship program. Through a multidisciplinary approach that includes oral and maxillofacial surgery, speech therapy, prosthodontics, and clinical psychology disciplines, comprehensive treatment is delivered in hospital and community settings.
