REPORT ON 1 ST INTERDISCIPLINARY CDE PROGRAM OF SRDC&H 2026
The CDE committee and Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, SRDC& H in collaboration Indian Orofacial Pain Association (IOPA) organized a CDE program on “Post -Endodontic Pain” on April 6 th 2026.
The event witnessed an enthusiastic participation of 154 participants including members of IOPA, dental practitioners, faculties, postgraduate students and clinical undergraduate students.
The program commenced with a formal inauguration followed by addresses from dignitaries Dr.V.Rangarajan,President, IOPA and Dr.H.Thamizhchelvan,Dean,SRDC, SRIHER(DU).
The keynote lecture was delivered by Dr. Ramesh Balasubramaniam OAM, Associate Professor and Discipline Lead in Oral Medicine at The University of Western Australia and Consultant at Perth Children’s Hospital, who shared valuable insights into the diagnosis and management of post- endodontic pain, while also emphasizing orofacial pain as a rapidly evolving and significant domain in contemporary dental practice, broadening the clinical perspective of students. The session concluded with active interaction, making it a highly informative and enriching academic experience.
